中国本土零售企业的成长历史几乎是一部厂家的“血泪史”, 它们通过不断打压生产企业,取得自己的“扩张”资本。中国的零售业保持着每年8%至10%的增长速度。但中国本土零售业主们却出现了麻烦。它们或者效益不行:2003年商务部评出的中国连锁经营30强,现在50%以上已相继陷入单店利润停滞甚至负增长的困境;或者表面风光,道德、未来却受到普遍怀疑。中国本土的零售业,无论是局限于一城一地的小型超市连锁,还是扩张迅猛、年销售数十亿的大卖场连锁、专业大卖场连锁,核心竞争能力、可持续发展能力都一样虚弱——虚弱得令人难以置信。
The history of the growth of Chinese local retailers is almost a history of blood and tears. They have made their own “expansion” of capital through constant pressure on manufacturing enterprises. China’s retail industry maintains an annual growth rate of 8% to 10%. But local Chinese retail owners have trouble. They are either ineffective: In 2003, the Top 30 Chain Stores in China, as judged by the Ministry of Commerce, now have more than 50% of them plunged into stagnation or even negative growth in profits of single-storey stores. Or their appearance, morals and future are generally questioned. China’s domestic retail industry, whether it is a small supermarket chain limited to one city or a rapidly expanding chain of supermarkets and hypermarkets with annual sales of billions, is equally weak in core competitiveness and sustainable development - - Weak is incredible.
