Starting from the need of increasing social development and the characteristics of China’s passenger flow, this paper discusses the need of high-speed railway in China, the need of socio-economic development in the areas along the Beijing-Shanghai line, the best plan of railway expansion and the strategy of constructing the Beijing-Shanghai high- Significance and so on, demonstrates that the construction of the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway is the right strategic choice; briefly describes the technical reserve and technical route of building the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway; the forecast traffic volume of the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway, the possible main technical solutions And social and economic benefits; put forward specific suggestions on the construction of the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway
