For a 7475 alloy sheet with fine grain and oriented structure, if a thermomechanical treatment step is added to the production, it will be superplastic at a deformation rate of about 10 -4 seconds -1. The approach taken so far has been internationally refined by Rockwell. The new thermomechanical treatment reported in this report aims to improve the superplasticity of the alloy sheet. The test described here is that 7475 sheet does not recrystallize after cold rolling and studies dynamic recovery or recrystallization during superplastic deformation.
