According to a recent survey conducted by Korea’s Ministry of the Environment’s National Academy of Environmental Sciences, mobile phones in elevators and subways have received much higher electromagnetic radiation than usual. Investigators selected seven handsets sold in the South Korean market to test their electromagnetic radiation intensity in different environments. The results showed that using a mobile phone in a fast-moving subway resulted in a six-fold increase in electromagnetic radiation compared to the standstill.
