第二类是赫德给他的亲信金登干(J.D.Campbell)的信
As we all know, the late Qing Chinese Customs Department of Taxation, the British Hart (Robert Hart) was involved in the manipulation of the Sino-Portuguese negotiations on Macao in 1887. In fact, almost all the negotiations between China and Portugal in the forty-odd years from 1862 to 1905 involved the direct or indirect involvement of Hart. Many people at this point are not very clear. In order to better study the history of Macao, especially the specific process of imperialism undermining China's sovereignty over Macao, we hereby provide some pieces of information. These historical materials can be roughly divided into three categories. The first category is the application and correspondence of Hurd in the Qing dynasty's diplomatic archives, which mainly reflects Hurd's concern about the Macao issue and the later (later years) influence on the Qing government during his signing with Portugal. The second category is a letter from Hart to his cronies J.D. Campbell
