2002年12月29日,对于年轻的汤加丽来说,也许是一个将要改变她人生轨迹的日子。这一天,由于在北京王府井新华书店签售《汤加丽人体艺术写真》被记者曝光,她从一个普通的舞蹈和影视演员变为社会关注的焦点,被推到了舆论的风口浪尖上。短短1个月内,有关她的报道达到数十篇,网络上的议论更是纷纷扬扬,网友评论达到近万条,有的表示理解、肯定和支持,但也有大量的攻讦、否定。《汤加丽人体艺术写真》一书究竟表现了美、艺术,还是性感、色情?汤加丽出书的动机到底是被迫的还是为了炒作和名利?写真集的出版在现有的社会文化语境中是否被接受,在民族文化的发展进程中有无积极的推动作用?所有这些问题都成了争议的焦点。汤加丽承认自己只是一个普通的人,做了一件普通的事,然而社会的发展有其自身的逻辑,也许正由于这一个“无心的错误”,这个内地人体艺术署名的第一人,正在改写中国当代文化某方面的历史。
