白春礼,满族,1953年9月26日出生于辽宁省。1978年毕业于北京大学化学系,1981年获中国科学院硕士学位,1985年获博士学位,1985年至1987年在美国加州理工学院做博士后和访问学者,1997年当选为中国科学院院士,时年44岁。现任中国科学院副院长、十五届中共中央委员会

Bai Chunli, Manchu, was born on September 26, 1953 in Liaoning Province. He graduated from Department of Chemistry, Peking University in 1978. He received a master’s degree from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1981 and a doctorate in 1985. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow and visiting scholar at the California Institute of Technology from 1985 to 1987, and was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Science in 1997 year old.
