装置艺术自从上世纪80年代在中国兴起以来,越来越多的艺术家们从对架上艺术的关注转移到这种综合了各种材质和艺术表现手段的“综合媒体”艺术形式上来。2006年上海“超设计”双年展的万人空巷和“ART北京”中装置作品的更多介入,我们似乎看到了装置艺术在中国的发展潜力。然而与国外相比,无论是在博物馆美术馆对装置的收藏情况上,还是在西方艺术品拍卖市场对装置作品的追捧程度上,我们依然感到忧心忡忡。
Installation Art Since its rise in China in the 1980s, more and more artists have shifted their focus from on-board art to this “integrated media” art form that combines various materials and artistic expressions. In 2006, there was a lot of involvement in installations in Shanghai Super Design Biennale and more interventions in installations in ART Beijing, and we seem to have seen the potential of installation art in China. However, compared with other countries, we are still worried about the collection of the installations in museum galleries and the popularity of installation works in the Western art auction market.
