“侧重培养阅读能力”是教学大纲规定的高中英语教学目的之一,是培养学生理解和运用英语技能的一个基本方法,又是落实交际实践性的主要途径。加强阅读训练可以为学生创造大量获取语言知识和大量运用语言的机会和条件。在课内外的阅读中既可培养学生对语篇进行分析、综合并从中获得信息的能力,也能培养学生的审美情趣,学会欣赏英语文学作品的美,通过自然渗透陶冶学生良好的情操。
“Focus on Fostering Reading Skills ” is one of the aims of English teaching in senior high schools stipulated in the syllabus. It is a basic method of training students to understand and use English skills and is also the main way to implement communicative practicalities. Strengthening reading training can create a great deal of opportunities and conditions for students to gain knowledge of the language and make extensive use of the language. In and out of class, students can cultivate the ability of students to analyze, synthesize and obtain information from the texts, cultivate the aesthetic taste of students, appreciate the beauty of English literature, and cultivate students’ good sentiments through natural infiltration.
