腾冲位于云南省保山市西南部,全县国土面积5845平方公里,辖11镇7乡,居住着汉、回、傣、佤、傈僳、阿昌等25个民族,2012年末,全县总人口66.3万,其中少数民族人口5.2万。腾冲与缅甸山水相连,国境线长148公里,是我国通向南亚、东南亚的重要门户和节点,是云南省实施面向西南开放重要桥头堡战略的前沿阵地和重点地区。目前,腾冲机场已成为国内最繁忙的支线机场之一,每年起降航班11498架次,旅客吞吐量达106.75万人次。猴桥口岸位于腾冲县猴桥镇,距中缅国境线5.1
Tengchong is located in the southwestern part of Baoshan City, Yunnan Province. The county covers an area of 5,845 square kilometers and has jurisdiction over 11 towns and 7 townships and 25 ethnic groups including Han, Hui, Dai, Wa, 傈 僳 and Achang. At the end of 2012, the total population of the county was 663,000 , Of which 52,000 are ethnic minorities. Tengchong is connected with the landscape of Myanmar and its border is 148 kilometers long. It is an important gateway and node to our country in South Asia and Southeast Asia.
