In 2001, the private technology enterprises in Hunan Province grew rapidly and became a force for the development of high-tech industries. According to the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the province’s total output value of high-tech industries was 60.6 billion yuan last year, 50% of which was created by private technology companies.
