农民是农村生产生活的主体,是建设社会主义新农村文化的主体,是农村经济社会最主要的建设者。农民素质的高低决定了农村社会发展的速度和质量,农民知识化进程的快慢,在很大程度上决定着农业和农村现代化的发展步伐,决定着我国经济社会发展第三步战略目标的实现。因此,培养出一大批高素质的农民,实现共同富裕,既是社会主义新农村建设的核心内容,也是建设社会主义新农村文化的核心和关键。
Farmers are the mainstay of rural life and production, the mainstay of building a new socialist rural culture, and the most important builders of rural economy and society. The quality of peasants determines the speed and quality of rural social development. The pace of peasants’ knowledge-based development determines the pace of agricultural and rural modernization to a great extent and determines the realization of the third-phase strategic goal of China’s economic and social development. Therefore, to cultivate a large number of high-quality peasants and realize common prosperity is not only the core content of building a new socialist countryside, but also the core and key to building a new socialist countryside culture.
