On October 19, 1995, the State Science and Technology Commission held a celebration ceremony in Beijing to honor the experimental team of 6,000 meters of ocean bottom exploration system of the National Hi-Tech Research and Development Plan and celebrated their successful completion of a deep-sea test of 6,000 meters underwater.
