黄玉雪的小说《华女阿五》被誉为“华裔美国文学”的开山之作,她本人也因为作品的成功而被誉为“华裔美国文学之母”。所谓的华裔美国文学,是指作品是由拥有美国国籍的华裔所作,通过美籍华裔的视角来表现其在美国的成长经历或者是生活经历。目前,国内对于华裔美国文学作品的研究大多集中在翻译、作品作家介绍、主题探析等方面,从文化的层面上对作品进行解读的研究还较少,本文将从人物形象、叙事策略、叙事内容三方面来对黄玉雪的小说《华女阿五》进行文化解读。一、人物形象的文化解读
Huang Yu-xue’s novel Hua Ah Ah is praised as the pioneer of “Chinese American Literature”. She is also known as the “Mother of Chinese American Literature” because of her success.
