Hypervascular disease caused by hyperlipidemia dysfunction is caused by metabolic syndrome and a variety of cardiovascular complications, one of the key links. Mechanisms of vascular endothelial injury caused by hyperlipidemia include vasomotor, contraction factor imbalance that lead to endothelium secretion, promote inflammation reaction and promote endothelial oxidative stress. At the same time, the activation of κ-opioid receptor (κ-OR) has been shown to play a definite cardiovascular protective effect in a variety of cardiovascular disease studies. However, regarding the activation of κ-OR in hyperlipidemia The role of vascular endothelial dysfunction remains to be studied. This review summarizes the progress of vascular endothelial injury induced by hyperlipidemia and vascular endothelial protection induced by activated kappa-OR and explores the role of activated kappa-OR in improving vascular endothelial dysfunction caused by hyperlipidemia, It provides a new idea for further studying the role of kappa-OR.
