记者:我想开门见山提一个问题,诸位对我国当前戏剧批评的评价如何?刘远:坦率地说,中国戏剧批评的现状不理想,可以说太不理想了。不夸张地说,我们现在还没有一种具有独立价值的且能证明自身存在合理性的戏剧批评。我因为搞文摘,看了许多关于当代戏剧批评的文章,总的印象是水平太低,高质量的批评文章难找。严格地说来,这些都不能算是批评文章。当然,也许几年以后或几十年以后有些史料价值。另外,现在的批评都是倾向搞保护的批评,做广告者居多,但广告也有优劣之分。我们的广告式批评让人看了后不是跃跃欲试,而是疑窦丛生,反感倍增。我想,如果批评不是倾向于保护,而是很尖锐,甚至很刻薄,可能其广告效果会更好。

In addition, the current criticisms are all tendentious to criticize for protection. The advertisers are mostly advertisers, but the advertisements also have advantages and disadvantages. Our ad-style criticism is not eager to read people, but suspicious clusters, resentment multiplied. I think if critics are not pro-protection, they are very sharp and even harsh, and maybe their ads will work better.
