由中国社会科学院语言文字应用研究所和西安外国语学院联合主办的第三届社会语言学学术讨论会于1992年4月13日至17日在西安举行。83位来自全国各地的专家学者出席了会议。中国社会科学院语言文字应用研究所副所长于根元、西安外国语学院院长孙天义在开幕式上讲了话,中国社会科学院语言文字应用研究所社会语言学研究室主任陈建民在闭幕式上作了总结发言。会议共收到论文74篇,其中大会宣读9篇,小组宣读60篇,并进行了小组讨论,讨论气氛十分活跃。这次会议的主题是语言与文化。大多数论文对与文化有关的语言问题进行了调查研究,掌握资料比较丰富,质量较高,基本上反映了我国语言与文化研究的现状和水平。
The Third Symposium on Sociolinguistics, co-sponsored by Institute of Language and Literature, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Xi’an Foreign Languages Institute, was held in Xi’an from April 13 to April 17, 1992. 83 experts and scholars from all over the country attended the meeting. At the opening ceremony, Yu Genyuan, deputy director of the Institute of Language and Literature, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and Sun Tianyi, Dean of the Xi’an International Studies University made a speech at the opening ceremony. Chen Jianmin, director of the Social Linguistics Laboratory at the Institute of Language and Literature, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences made a concluding speech at the closing ceremony . A total of 74 papers were received, of which 9 were read out by the General Assembly, 60 were read by the group and were discussed in groups. The discussion was very lively. The theme of this conference is language and culture. Most of the papers on cultural issues related to the language of the investigation and research, grasp the rich data, high quality, basically reflects the status quo and level of our language and cultural studies.
