美国的水彩画是与油画、版画并行而独立存在发展的,可以说它更接近人们的生活。除美术馆中有展品外,众多的画廊里,也有专门展销水彩画的画廓。大幅的水彩画被精致装潢打扮,别有一番美感。在朋友们的客厅里,常能看到一幅或数幅水彩画挂在墙上。因此,我感到水彩画是美国人较喜欢的一个画种。一年多来,我在美国访问了十位画家,其中水彩画家占四名。我所看到的水彩展览,大部分又是写实的,画得很精细,见功夫,又充分发挥了水彩的特性。他们的纸张和颜料好,再加上一定的技巧,
