发展畜牧是整个国民经济中特别是农业生产中一个重要组成部分,配种又是发展畜牧工作中的决定环节。目前正是配种旺季,但配种工作搞的很不好,一般均不如去年同时期的情况。晋中、晋北配种工作至今仍处于消沉状态,朔县李富仁配种站八头种畜去年到三月每头已平均交配二十四头,今年到四月二日每头平均交配数仅及去年的四分之一。静乐县四个配种站五头种畜到四月五日只交配十一头,榆次配种行家范忠章拉上种畜跑了八个乡八个农业社都不配种,汾西县是全省配种工作较好的县,但据十五个行家的统计至四月上旬的交配数也少于去年同一时期的百分之四十四。其主要原因为:
