As a Southern poet with far-reaching influence in the United States, Warren refers to a series of ethical themes including self and truth, history and time, responsibility and guilt. Warren’s reflection on self-identity is manifested in the cultural placeholder “body ”. This article explores the uniqueness of Warren’s concept of “body” from the perspective of Bakhtin’s body theory: the body is the first point of departure for self-examination, time and memory reach the individual’s cognition through the delay of inner perspective and the complement of others’ experience Perfect; the external sense of intuition makes the self in Warren’s poetry and others have a contact with each other and the cycle of dialogue, resulting in real sense of responsibility and responsibility. The other includes not only a series of characters but also all things in nature, which reflects Warren’s profound natural awareness and moral concern.
