早先的工作已证明谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶(GSH-P_x)是一种含硒(Se)的酶。作者试图探讨鼠组织中GSH-P_x活力与饲料硒摄取之间的定量关系。进行了两个实验。实验Ⅰ,用Holtzman种的21天雄性断乳鼠(体重55~65克),分成六组,喂Torula酵母基础饲料(含0.008 ppm的硒,每公斤饲料还补充50单位维生素E),并以亚硒酸钠(Na_2SeO_3)分别补充0、0.050.1、0.5、1.0和5.0 ppm的硒。在实验的不同时期分别测定各组红血球和肝中GSH-P_x活力。为了观察饲料中的硒是否能引起其他与硒无关的酶活力的改变,作者在实验的第134天还测定了肝组织中组氨酸酶(Histidase)的活力。
Earlier work has demonstrated that glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) is a Se-containing enzyme. The authors sought to investigate the quantitative relationship between GSH-Px activity in rat tissues and dietary selenium uptake. Two experiments were conducted. Experiment Ⅰ: 21-day-old male weaned hamsters of Holtzman (weighing 55-65 grams) were divided into six groups and fed with the basic Torula yeast diet (containing 0.008 ppm of selenium supplemented with 50 units of vitamin E per kilogram of diet) Sodium selenite (Na 2 SeO 3) was supplemented with 0, 0.050.1, 0.5, 1.0 and 5.0 ppm selenium, respectively. The activities of GSH-Px in erythrocytes and liver in each group were measured in different periods of experiment. In order to observe whether dietary selenium can cause other selenium-independent changes in enzyme activity, the authors also measured the activity of histidine (Histidase) in liver tissue on day 134 of the experiment.
