山东济南中药厂是全国21家重点中药厂之一,始建于一九○七年,由原济南宏济堂、良一堂、永昌药厂、济南阿胶厂4家中药厂合并而成,其主体为北京同仁堂京都乐家老铺设在济南的分号——宏济堂药店。该店一九○七年正式开业,当时仅有职工30多人,前店后厂,加工少量丸、散、膏、丹和饮片。生产处方主要来源于《太平惠民和剂局方》和北京同仁堂的传统方剂,其中很大一部分为清宫秘方,主要有:安宫牛黄丸、局方至宝丹、牛黄清心丸、大活络丹等。生产上,它不惜高价选用地道药材,遵古炮炙,操作极其精细,素以产品优良,疗效可靠,服务优良见长。一九五六年该厂公私合营,一九六○年合并为济南公私合营宏济制药厂。一九六六年改名为济南人民制药厂,一九八○年改名为山东济南中药厂。一九八八年被济南市政府批

In 1966, it was renamed the People’s Pharmaceutical Factory in Jinan, and in 1980 it was renamed Shandong Jinan Chinese Medicine Factory. In 1988, it was approved by the government of Jinan City
