浙江奉化是中国近代服装的发祥地之一,是“红帮”裁缝的故乡。1984年,老一辈的“红帮”传人纷纷告老还乡叶落归根,他们决定承袭“红帮”裁缝的传统,在奉化的江口镇创办一个服装厂。盛家村的盛军海成为最终人选。这只是一个拥有几十个工人,2万元资金的小型加工厂。而建厂后,第一件事就是聘请“红帮”第三代传人余元芳等老师傅担任高级技术顾问。当时,盛军海的工资是28元一个月,而请师傅的月薪却是1000元。
