Pragmatic Analysis of Conversational Implicature of Daily Dialogues in English and Chinese

Cooperative Principle and Politeness Principle are two key pragmatic principles,which can explain why conversational implicature can exist.This paper mainly introduces Grice’s Cooperative Principle,Leech’s Politeness Principle and Gu Yueguo’s Politeness Principle in Chinese culture,takes some English and Chinese daily dialogues as examples,and analyze the probably reasons of causing the differences between English and Chinese conversational implicature and to decrease intercultural communication’s pragmatic faults.
