以山青、水秀、洞奇、石美而闻名于世的广西桂林坐落在湘桂走廊以南,历来是文人墨客游山玩水的圣地,早在800年前,宋朝官员王正功就为其冠以“山水甲天下”的美誉。1981年,沐浴着改革开放的春风,桂林的旅游业得以蓬勃发展,航空口岸对外开放,桂林边防检查站应运而生。30多年来,桂林边检官兵始终牢记使命、无私奉献,以坚如磐石的斗志维护口岸安全稳定,以宛如春风的态度服务世界各地游客,用实际行动传播中华民族的美德,擦亮了桂林城市的名片,展示了边防官兵的风采。
