Iron deficiency is the most common nutritional deficiency disorder in children and is prevalent in children worldwide. According to the United States in the seventies survey, children aged 6 to 24 months, the incidence of iron deficiency anemia is 3 to 24%. The incidence of iron deficiency without anemia was 29 to 68%. In the worst socio-economic groups, the incidence of iron-deficiency anemia is over 50% and iron deficiency is almost 100%. It is estimated that more than 500 million people in the world suffer from iron deficiency syndrome. The survey results of pediatric anemia in China show up to 82.9% in Shanghai and 18.0-19.7% in Yunnan and Inner Mongolia. Due to inconsistent examination methods, diagnostic criteria are not uniform, the racial composition of the object, eating habits and socio-economic differences in the incidence of different reports around the very different.
