Dingtao County is located in the southwest of Shandong Province, the county a total area of 846 square kilometers, population 580,000. Under the jurisdiction of 6 towns and 13 townships, 462 administrative villages, 1044 villages, 76.7 acres of arable land. Since the reform and opening up, the county economy has made great strides. In 1995, the county’s gross national product was 1.35 billion yuan, its industrial and agricultural output 2.597 billion yuan, fiscal revenue 47.15 million yuan and net income of peasants 1409 yuan.
