150 New Products of Axle Steel Approved by the Ministry of Railways and the Shanghai Municipal Economic Commission According to the demand of China’s railways for their high-speed and heavy-load development, Baosteel started trial production of steel billets for 50-steel axles with a grade of BLZW from 1996 onwards. During the trial production of the product, the technicians of the factories and ministries worked hard to overcome the problems of ductility reduction under high strength and properly solved the requirement of fine grain and the magnetic particle inspection of the finished product shaft.
