在社会主义计划经济向市场经济转化中,统计作为一个信息系统,其地位和作用也越来越显得重要。但是,在部门与部门之间,单位与单位之间,统计的地位不尽一样,高低现象普遍存在。究其原因,除了人们在认识上的差异外,大概与统计工作者的作为有关。以我们华阳镇为例,共有统计基本单位123个,其中镇级47个,村级76个。除少数较大的单位配制专职统计外,大多是兼职统计员,尤为会计兼统计的居多。多年来,这支队伍在为社会服务,发展镇村经济过程中,做了大量的工作,发挥了一定的作用。
