The Ninth National Public Affairs and Public Relations Organization Joint Conference, held in October 7, 1996 to 11 in Qingdao. The theme of this conference is to further explore the purposes, responsibilities and tasks of PR organizations under the conditions of a socialist market economy and to study how to strengthen the building of PR organizations and raise the quality of public relations teams. A total of 161 delegates from 29 provinces, cities, autonomous regions and sub-provincial cities and public relations organizations of cities specifically designated in the plan attended the meeting.
