中图公司是国家授权独家经营外国和港台出产的录音制品的单位。鉴于近年来我国音乐制品进口中的状况比较混乱,中图公司决定举办一次展销会,向社会上推荐和提供比较严肃、健康的外国和港台地区音乐制品,以满足广大音乐工作者和音乐爱好者的欣赏需要。经过认真的筹备,美、英、法、联邦德国、苏联及香港地区的近二十家录音公司提供了五千余种音响制品参加展销。这些音响制品,包括磁带,唱片和激光唱片,绝大多数都是世界著名的古典音乐作品,由世界一流的音乐家演奏,如卡拉扬指挥、柏
