Objective To analyze the EEG activity of seizures in children. Methods 151 cases of children with seizures were monitored by 24-hour portable magnetic recording EEG (AEEG). The total abnormal rate of 80.8%, epileptiform discharge rate 79.5%. Occurrence of epileptic seizures in epileptic group 78.8%, epileptic group suspicious epileptic discharge 45.5%, there was a significant difference between the two groups (P <0005). The incidence of epileptiform discharges in AEEG was significantly higher than that in conventional electroencephalography (EEG). There was also a significant difference in the occurrence of epileptiform discharge observed in clinical seizures between the epileptic group and the suspected epilepsy group (P <001). The group of patients with epileptogenic discharge parts of the whole brain or side, or partial side of the more than the partial winner, epileptiform discharge time to sleep mainly accounted for 74 2%, of which 67 7% seen in shallow sleep . Conclusions 24h dynamic EEG monitoring is very important for the diagnosis of seizures in children.
