The core and the whole of the schistosomiasis prevention project The author believes that the main structure of the schistosomiasis prevention project has four basic aspects: the superior government’s schistosomiasis control department (blood prevention leadership group and office) and scientific research institutions; the lower level local government and professional organizations (Including schistosomiasis professional units and animal husbandry departments) can be described as four in one. Because these four aspects are directly related to the decision-making and implementation of the schistosomiasis prevention work, the governmental schistosomiasis control department at the upper level should be the core since it represents the superior government in charge of the schistosomiasis prevention work in the areas under its jurisdiction, and it is also the decision-making body.
