锅炉压力容器是一种承压,具有可能发生爆炸危险的特种焊接设备,因而对焊接质量要求很高。近年来,随着国民经济的不断发展,提高锅炉压力容器焊工队伍素质、保证焊接质量已经成为锅炉压力容器安全技术管理工作中的重要内容。1980年原国家劳动总局颁发了《锅炉压力容器焊工考试规则》以后,辽宁省逐步开展了焊工考试管理工作。辽宁省承担锅炉压力容器焊接的焊工近10万人,队伍庞大。
