上世纪20年代中国诞生了著名的黄埔军校。其毕业的学员,大多成为蒋介石的嫡系将校,人们称其为“天之骄子”。而蒋介石为了将其军队的军事素养进一步提高,向美国、日本等军事强国靠拢,也模仿美日等国的军事建制和军校学制,在黄埔军校养成教育的基础上,于1929年将清末建立的陆军大学校,改建成了培养高级指挥人才及高级幕僚的中国最高军事学府——陆军大学。其毕业生,又有“天之骄子”中的“天子门生”之称。
