吉安地区是有着光荣革命历史的老区,也是中国的第一个农村革命根据地井冈山的所在地。由于多种原因,目前,全区仍有不少群众还没有摆脱贫穷,部分农村青年的贫困落后的状况尤为突出。为了进一步弄清老区青年的现状,更有成效地带领青年在老区建设的实践中开拓进取,建功立业。最近我们对全区14个县、市,特别是11个老区县、市的农村青年的有关情况进行了一次调查,结果告诉我们: 一、贫困人数多,科技文化缺,生产底子薄,致富门路窄吉安地区现有农村青年835843人,从事大农业生产的青年们占青年总数的80％以上,再加上生产力水平不高,地理环境和自然灾害频繁等因素的影响,全区农村青年的生活水平同
