The authors compared the quality of life of patients undergoing gastric (jejuno) ostomy, esophageal-gastric bypass anastomosis, and esophageal cavities after palliative treatment of 89 patients with advanced esophageal and cardiac cancers. Built-in tube therapy is a new technique that has been used in recent years with the help of endoscopy and radiation intervention. The authors observed the quality of life of 46 patients with advanced esophageal and cardiac cancer treated with esophageal metal stents and found that this treatment not only has the advantages of simple operation, little pain, and accurate placement of the catheter, but also improves the patient’s eating patterns and nutritional status. The improvement of basic living needs and quality of life of patients shows great superiority and has good clinical application value.
