There are a lot of investigations on the harm of noise to the cardiovascular system, but the reports of the changes of enzymology are still rare. In this paper, the changes of serum pyruvate kinase (PK) activity in textile workers exposed to strong noise in a woolen mill were studied. 120 unmarried women (mean age 20 years, average length of service 4 years and excluding non-noise-induced cardiovascular diseases) from a wool mill fine-weave workshop [high-frequency steady-state noise with an intensity of 103 dB (A)] were selected as Observation group. Nine healthy female college students (mean age 20 years old) who did not contact with productive noise were selected as the control group. The subjects (fasting) often
