当今世界,随着全球性经济竞争的激化,谁能及时、准确把握信息,谁就立于不败之地。信息产业的发展水平已经成为衡量一个国家经济发展水平和综合国力的重要标准。国家统计局北京美兰德信息公司与中央电视台经济部合作,在全国12个城市对改革开放20年信息获取方式的变化进行了调查。据预测,到2000年,全球将有1亿台电脑和100万个计算机网络与因特网相联,上网用户达到5亿户,网上电子交易额将从1996年的80亿美元增长到1万亿美元。
In today’s world, with the intensification of the global economic competition, whoever can grasp the information timely and accurately will remain invincible. The level of development of the information industry has become an important measure of a country’s economic development and overall national strength. The National Bureau of Statistics Beijing Meilande Information Co., Ltd., in cooperation with the Ministry of Economic Affairs of CCTV, conducted a survey on the changes in the ways of obtaining information over the 20 years of reform and opening up in 12 cities throughout the country. It is predicted that by the year 2000 there will be 100 million computers and 1 million computer networks worldwide connected to the Internet and 500 million Internet users. The amount of online electronic transactions will grow from 8 billion U.S. dollars in 1996 to over 1 trillion U.S. dollars .
