1981年10月1日至15日在苏联地球物理科学研究所南部基地巴库举办了由苏联科学院、苏联地质部和苏联高等教育部组织的苏联电磁测深学习班,参加会议的有来自89个组织的250名代表。学习班分为讲课和选题讨论。讲课内容如下:地电学的任务和成就;电磁异常的解释、岩流圈的导电性;使用磁流体发电机的电磁测深、地电学的正演和反演问题;大地电磁场变异的处理、电磁信号可析性质的利用、在轴向对称介质中不稳场的计算、地电学中的有限等差法、在普查石油、气中的电磁测深、地球电磁场的结构、大震孕育过程中的电磁现象、关于地电反演问题的非单值性
