The “Deng Xiaoping Chronicle (1975-1997)” (hereinafter referred to as “Chronicle”) is a chronological book recording Deng Xiaoping’s life, thoughts and achievements during this period. From which we can see that after Deng Xiaoping withdrew, his thought remained active after the publication of Volume 3 of the Selected Works of Deng Xiaoping. He is still thinking about developing the cause of socialism. Deng Xiaoping is indeed one who is striving for socialism
