英国首都伦敦曾经是世界人口最多的超级大城市。由于人多、车多、工业发达,环境污染非常严重,经常烟雾弥漫,难见天日,素有“雾都”之称。 1952年12月5日至8日,伦敦上空连续4天烟雾弥漫,煤烟尘雾经久不散。从烟雾发生后的第三、四天起许多市民就开始发病,出现咳嗽、喉痛、胸闷、头痛、呼吸困难、眼睛刺激等症状。在短短4天当中,死了4000人,这就是震惊世界的烟雾事件。
London, the capital of the United Kingdom, was once the world’s most populous mega-city. As many people, more cars, developed industries, environmental pollution is very serious, often filled with smoke, see the doldrums, known as “fog are” said. From December 5 to December 5, 1952, smoke spread over London for four days in a row, and the smoke and dust of coal smoke persisted. Since the third and fourth days after the smog, many citizens began to develop symptoms of cough, sore throat, chest tightness, headaches, breathing difficulties and eye irritation. In just 4 days, 4000 people died, this is the world’s smoke incident.
