The strong economic growth in Western countries in the fourth quarter of 1999 drove the demand for raw materials and marked a dramatic change in the international market for non-ferrous metals. Most non-ferrous metals markets were active and prices rebounded. Into 2000, nonetheless, the price of non-ferrous metals has seen a new increase over the fourth quarter due to the favorable stimulus of the generally favorable economic situation in the West. The most prominent one is nickel. A quarter of a year ago, the international market price of nickel in 4200 ~ 4400 US dollars / t low. In the first quarter of this year, nickel prices shot up 10,000 US dollars / t mark. The main non-ferrous metal vanguard
