中国书法与绘画是我国的国粹艺术,提到它们其中的一个,我们总会联想起另一个。在美术史和中国书画理论中也总是将二者并置而论,可见二者联系之紧密。如果从中国的文字历史发展来看,古代汉字“书”(書)与“画”(畫)在字形上也极其相似,这让我们从另一个角度看到了中国书与画的天然联系。“书画同源”一直是中国艺术家所公认的,并是在实际的艺术实践中得到验证的理论,它的发展是有相当久远的历史理论渊源的。
