我乡是栽培白莲的主要产区之一.近年来随着莲子种植面积的不断扩大,由于种植密度大、授粉昆虫少,莲子的结实率不断降低,白莲产量也逐年下降.本乡1980年植莲98亩,亩产56.5公斤;而到1984年、1985年,植莲面积分别达4047亩和11000亩;但亩产却大大下降,分别为30公斤和25公斤,有的甚至更低.其主要原因就是花而不实.据1985年我们对23户农户进行调查的结果:结实率在40%以下的占调查总户的78.3%;结实
In recent years, with the growing area of lotus seeds growing, due to planting density, fewer pollination insects, lotus seed setting rate continues to decline, the production of Bailian also declined year by year. Lotus 98 acres, yield 56.5 kilograms; and 1984, 1985, planting lotus area respectively 4047 acres and 11000 acres; but the yield has dropped significantly, respectively, 30 kilograms and 25 kilograms, and some even lower.
