The FCC (Communications Commission of the United States) chartered Guam Telecommunications Co. Ltd. to lay a submarine cable length of 4000 km between Guam and Hawaii. Cable costs nearly 200 million US dollars. The transmission rate on two pairs of fibers reaches 5Mb / s. The FCC supports undersea fiber optic cable construction between Guam and Hawaii
