中国世界近现代史研究会世界近代史专业委员会第五届年会暨庆祝香港回归学术讨论会于1997年9月26日—10月6日在四川省绵阳师范高等专科学校举行。会议由世界近代史专业委员会与四川联合大学、四川师范大学、四川师范学院和绵阳师专联合筹备,世界近代史专业委员会和绵阳师专领衔主办,绵阳师专政史系具体承办。来自全国各地的专家学者和《世界历史》、《历史教学》杂志社及北京电视台等新闻出版单位的特邀代表五十余人与会。学会会长王荣堂先生致开幕词和闭幕词。经过主办单位和各位代表的共同努力,会议获得圆满成功。
China World Association for Modern and Contemporary History World Organization of Modern History Fifth Annual Meeting and celebrate the return of Hong Kong Symposium on September 26, 1997 -6 October at the Mianyang Teachers College, Sichuan Province. The meeting was jointly organized by the World Association for Modern History and Sichuan Union University, Sichuan Normal University, Sichuan Teachers College and Mianyang Teachers College, the World Modern History Commission and the Mianyang Teachers College, and the Mianyang Teachers College. More than 50 invited experts and scholars from all over China, as well as invited representatives of “World History”, “History Teaching” magazine and Beijing Television Station, attended the meeting. Mr. Wang Rongtang, chairman of the society, delivered the opening and closing remarks. After the concerted efforts of the organizers and delegates, the conference was a complete success.
