惠安县医院是一所全民所有制综合性县级医院,设有病床450张,职工469人,其中副主任医师16人,主治(管)医师53人,设有临床、医技、职能等37个科室,年门、急诊21万人次,住院病人1.85万人次,医疗收入715万元。为建设现代化医院,提高科学管理水平,1986年9月建立计算机室,当时机房面积只有6平方米,计算机只有苹果机一台,专业人员只有一名,在设备简陋,技术力量薄弱,工作艰难的条件下开发应用了医疗统计等6个
