词汇能力的研究主要基于广度,深度,精确度,和运用自动化程度。本文以中国学习者语料库(Chinese Learner English Corpus)为目的语料库,美国布朗语料库(Brown Corpus)为参照语料库。旨在分析,较英语本族语者,中国学习者词汇能力的不足及具体表现。首先,运用Range检索两语库产出性词汇的类符比。接着,运用BFCU collocate检索已选定的高频词在两语库的短语搭配词。对比发现,在写作中,中国学习者基础性词汇居多;短语搭配的词汇信息联系丰富程度较低;易受母语负迁移的影响,词汇使用精确度不高;运用自动化程度也也有待提高。鉴于此,本文提出相关改进建议。研究结果有利于深化对中国学习者词汇能力不足的认识,和词汇教学方法的改善。
The study of vocabulary competence is based on breadth, depth, accuracy, and degree of automation. In this paper, corpora for the Chinese Learner English Corpus and Brown Corpus as the reference corpus. The aim is to analyze the inadequacy and specific performance of Chinese learners’ vocabulary ability compared with English native speakers. First of all, we use Range to retrieve the classifiers of the two-bank output vocabularies. Then, BFCU collocate is used to search the phrase collocations of the selected high-frequency words in the two-language database. The comparison shows that most learners in China have the most basic vocabulary in their writing, while the lexical information associated with phrases has a low degree of affiliation; it is susceptible to the negative transfer of the mother tongue, and the accuracy of using vocabulary is not high; and the degree of automation of application also needs to be improved. In view of this, this paper puts forward some suggestions for improvement. The results are helpful to deepen the understanding of the lack of ability of Chinese learners’ vocabulary and the improvement of vocabulary teaching methods.
