人人都承认他是当代最优秀的数学家。更难得的是,这个伟大的数学家,还帮助大中华地区兴建了四个数学研究中心。但这两年他为人所知,更多的是因为他对中国高等教育现状的言论,以及和那所中国最著名大学的纠纷。
Everyone recognizes him as the best mathematician of the day. Even more rare is that this great mathematician, but also to help the Greater China region built four mathematical research centers. But he was known for two years, mostly because of his remarks about the status quo in China’s higher education and his dispute with the most famous university in China.
